Monolith is seeking an xR (Virtual, Mixed & Extended Reality) Lead Technician who has a passion for live events, productions, audio-visual experiences, team work, and a commitment to program excellence.
The ideal candidate should be able to provide leadership to drive the delivery & adoption of xR in an event and production environment. Has proven experience in executing events and productions, particularly in the cutting edge space of Virtual & Mixed reality events & productions and is able to navigate the complexities of working in a diverse and complex region.
Joining our team supporting Meta (Facebook), the ideal candidate will be part of an evolving team that provides end-to-end VR/xR event and production including technical coordination, setup and support, AV/VC services, streaming, partner education and vendor management.
The ideal candidate should have strong problem solving skills, cross spectrum technical production knowledge, good exposure to audio-visual systems, and project management with a background in executing events and production, both live and virtual, with proven team management experience.
Due to the fast-paced support, constantly changing environment, the Lead may be required to work some weekends and evenings to ensure the team is able to support operations. Travel is expected when necessary.
> 5-7 years of working knowledge with audio visual equipment in a live event setting or production environment, demonstrating deep understanding across audio, video, video conferencing, and virtual event disciplines. Experience in Disguise and Oculus platform a huge plus.
> SME in VR/xR Event and Production and be able to advise on best practices, pros and cons to each specific workflow to influence success to the client’s vision, sharing and communicating minimum requirements from established standards.
> To be able to successfully support the technical execution for Virtual Reality Events and virtual reality media recordings.
> Able to identify and manage media resources and content for event delivery.
> Experienced in vision mixing, cloud production and proven vMix operations.
> To manage incoming xR requests, update pre-production documentations and filing of report upon completion, in accordance to requirements.
> Able to produce documentation to outline workflows and conduct training to the wider team of xR capabilities and skills.
> Assist with any logistical requests for xR headsets.
> Responsible for service escalations and reporting, ensuring that SLAs are met and global standards are adhered to.
